Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and was raised by a mixed-ethnic, multiracial family. Her father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim is Malaysian. Her brothers are elder as well as two younger brothers. Parents moved to Bahrain during the 1980s because of the Lankan tensions and she was born and raised in Bahrain. The scholarship she received allowed her to attend in the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia after she had completed her schooling in Bahrain. To enhance her love of cultures, languages and other languages she enrolled in the Berlitz school of languages, in order to master Spanish and also improve her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006. She also was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. In the wake of her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan Business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens, she participated in national badminton competitions, but quit playing and went on to become a fashion designer. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. The model is Mangalorean in her origins. Padukone is located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State of India is where her lineage is derived from. His father, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of world-class fame, while her mother is a travel consultant.
